Sahre your thoughts and Create value for others

It may have already been “said”, but not by ME!

“Everything that needs to be said has already been said. But since no one was listening, everything must be said again.” — André Gide

This quote can be well understood in terms of UX design concepts. Just tell me, how many times you have studied the design principles? Or, how many times you have been asked to follow UI guidelines?

Perhaps thousands of times!

But still, these reminders are necessary whenever you start working on a new design layout.

So the question is why is this important to remind yourself about these concepts again and again?

There are two reasons.

First, Human minds need to recall things repeatedly to implement them in daily life. We cannot hold everything in our working memory all the time.

That is the reason if you want to remain positive all the time, you need to keep positivity around yourself by studying positive content and meeting with positive thinkers.

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing — that’s why we recommend it daily.” –Zig Ziglar

Similar is the case with design principles, guidelines, standards, and behaviors.

It is not possible for a human mind to keep every learned principle in his mind each time he is designing something. There is a need for continuous reference to related content and ideas to keep himself up to date and maintain the standard of the designed layouts.

The second thing is, that concepts and guidelines never get outdated. You can read hundreds of articles on positive thinking, but still, you will feel that every author has shared their point differently.

Similarly, design concepts and guidelines are repeated many times. Every design article, video, and content gives you new ideas to think about the layout and structure you are working on.

Just take an example of this quote. If I ask you to write a few words about this quote, you will write different opinions from those I am mentioning here. And interesting thing is that we all would be correct in our thoughts.

While writing design articles, I would be sharing my own experiences, and when you write on the same topic, you will mention your thoughts. I will write different examples to support my opinions, and it is possible that you don’t agree with them, and you can explain the same concept with a different logic.

We all know consistency is an important design principle. We can find hundreds of articles on Google that explain this concept in different ways, and all of them are right.

Just make sure to keep yourself motivated by recalling the required concepts again and again. And if you have a few words to say, don’t hesitate to share them just because someone has already done it.

“No matter what, if you have a desire to be heard and create value for others, do it. It may have already been “said”, but not by you.” — Jeremy Frandsen
